Queer New York City
The link above will take you to a page where we explain the individual texts from this unit. Throughout the semester we have learned about the evolution of queerness, specifically in New York City. From Gay and Lesbian Studies, largely post-Stonewall, to the idea of Queer Theory; Transgender Studies, Black Queer Studies, and Latinx Studies, we further explore how critical ideas such as class/poverty/status or sexuality/lesbianism/queerness has created a Queer New York City.
